About Bintan Resort Ferries (BRF)

Bintan Resort Ferries Pte Ltd (BRF) began its operations in 1994 at the former World Trade Centre, now known as HarbourFront.  In late August 1995, the operations were relocated to the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.  Each ferry trip to Bintan takes approximately one hour and ten minutes.

BRF operates three catamaran ferries. The 270-seat Aria Bupala was the first vessel introduced with the launch of the company.  In 2009, two new- generation 42-meter ferries, the Wan Seri Beni and Wan Sendari were added to the fleet, each with a capacity of 300 seats. These newer vessels, built by Damen Shipyards in the Netherlands, can cruise at speeds exceeding 37 knots and are equipped with advanced navigation and engineering monitoring systems. Additionally, they are designed with hardware that enhances stability, ensuring a smoother ride for passengers.  All ferries feature 57 premium “Emerald Class” seats, offering passengers  expedited immigration clearance on arrival in Bintan, with dedicated staff handling the process.

BRF collaborates closely  with Travel Agents, Resort Operators and Golf Resorts to enhance services and boost tourism to Bintan Resorts through flexible ferry schedules and travel promotions. BRF remains dedicated to providing a regular, safe, reliable and comfortable ferry service from Singapore to Bintan Resorts.
