Can I purchase the ferry tickets at the BRF counter?

Ferry tickets may be purchased at the BRF counter, subject to seat availability.
We accept cash (SGD), Visa, Mastercard and the following payment options at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT) counter.

Passengers are encouraged to make bookings in advance.

International passports are required for travel between Singapore and Bintan Indonesia.

Indonesia maintains varying visa requirements for different countries, so it is advisable to consult your travel agent or the respective Indonesian embassy in your country for visa inquiries. For further details on visa requirements, please click here.

Passengers holding Temporary Passport MUST obtain valid visa for Indonesia or an approval letter from the Indonesian Immigration Authority at the Indonesian Embassy.

You may purchase ferry tickets online using Visa, MasterCard, and JCB credit card payment methods. Online Bookings are available up to 4 hours before the departure time.

SBS No. 35 ply from either Bedok Bus Interchange or bus stop in front of Tanah Merah MRT Station to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.

The taxi ride from the airport to the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal typically takes about 15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Please allocate approximately about 30-45 minutes for immigration and security clearance as well as baggage collection at the airport.

The ferry journey from TMFT to Bintan Resorts will take approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Bintan, Indonesia is in the GMT +7 time zone.

Passports needs to be valid for a minimum of six months (estimate equal or more than 186 days) at the time of travel.

New ferry ticket will need to be purchased for next departure time,  subject to seat availability.

Women who are 28 weeks pregnant or more at the time of travel must provide an authorization from medical doctor confirming their fitness to travel during check-in. Additionally, all pregnant passengers are required to sign an indemnity form at our counter.

Wheelchair access at TMFT is up to the pontoon only. For safety, all passengers on wheelchairs must be accompanied.

Wheelchairs are available at the terminal upon request. Please provide advance notice to BRF if you require wheelchair assistance.

Please approach staff at the terminal and fill up a form.  The damage & lost report must be done on arrival at the terminal. 

No, unaccompanied baggage is not allowed. 

Check-in time is at 90 minutes before departure time with the following documents:

  1. Passports of all passengers
  2. Confirmed itinerary OR Booking number

Check-in counter closes at 40 minutes before departure time.

Yes, if  immediate evacuation to Singapore is authorized by a medical doctor.

  • On Scheduled trips – please make required ferry bookings.
  • Non-scheduled trips – charter costs will apply.

Medical support on arrival in Singapore must be arranged.

Person being evacuated must be accompanied by a medical personnel.
